Mystique® Fixed Braces

Fixed Braces are bonded onto your teeth and remain in place throughout treatment. The brackets used with fixed braces can be constructed from several different types of materials. An arch wire is placed in the brackets and continuous pressure is applied to begin shifting your teeth into their new position; with the use of elastics and springs the teeth can be moved with great accuracy. Each part of the braces plays a role in guiding these movements.

OrthoCAD® Indirect Bonding Method

Here at Clear Advantage Orthodontics we take pride in using the most advanced technology available on the market today. Using the OrthoCAD® IQ system, we will take an impression of the patient's teeth and a detailed 3-D image will then appear for Dr. Cziraki to simulate and fine-tune numerous treatment options to create a precise treatment plan. Customized trays are created to enable the exact placement of the bracket on the tooth surface. Using OrthoCAD® allows a personalized experience for each of our patients who can choose between the different types of traditional fixed braces.

Clear Ceramic Braces

These types of braces are the least noticeable of all the fixed braces.  The bracket, placed on the tooth surface, is made of ceramic to blend with the colour of your teeth to be more inconspicuous.

Miniature Self-ligating Metal Braces

At Clear Advantage Orthodontics, we use self-ligating braces (SPEED braces by Strite Industries Limited and INOVATION braces by GAC International Inc.) These brackets are much smaller so they are less visible on the tooth surface.  The reduced size of the bracket helps to reduce lip and cheek irritation.  Self-ligation refers to the fact that these braces have tiny clips that hold the wire in place rather than relying on elastic or steel ties.  The technology of self-ligating brackets allow us to apply continuous gentle force, which means less discomfort and pain throughout your treatment.  It is much easier to clean and brush around these brackets, making them more hygienic.  With good cooperation, treatment time can be often reduced due to the light continuous force that can be applied, as well as the reduced friction, allowing the teeth to move more easily.
