CROWDED TEETH

The patient (age 11) wore braces for 26 months.

OPEN BITE

(front teeth don’t touch)

The patient (age 13) sucked her thumb as a child. She wore braces and a crib for 28 months.

DEEP OVERBITE

(lower front teeth bite into palate)

The patient (age 25) had a severe overbite. He required jaw surgery and braces for 2 years.

MISSING LATERAL INCISORS

The patient lateral incisors were congenitally missing. She has braces for 20 months and the missing teeth were replaced with bonded Maryland bridges.

UNDERBITE

(Lower front teeth in front of upper teeth)

The patient (age 32) had an underbite that was causing jaw discomfort and excessive wear patterns on her teeth. She had 30 months of treatment.

TEETH SPACING

The patient had spaces between his teeth. He had braces for 24 months. Glued-in retainers kept the spaces closed.

OVERJET

(Protruding front teeth)

The patient (age 10) had a large overjet with the top teeth protruding beyond the bottom. She had two phases of treatment over 3 years that helped her jaw grow harmoniously and aligned her teeth and bite.

NON-BRACES TREATMENT

The patient (age 7) had crowding of the lower permanent teeth. A procedure reduce the width of the adjacent baby teeth. The permanent incisors aligned on their own in nine months.

PHASE ONE

The patient (age 8) was brought in by his parents who were concerned that the lower front teeth were crowded and touching the palate and the upper front teeth were displaced from their normal positions. After 12 months of Phase-One treatment with an expander and partial braces, his appearance and dental function improved.
