Many of you play sports, so as we enter June we thought we’d take this opportunity to remind you to protect your mouth & appliances when you’re playing sports. This message especially goes out to you contact sports players like rugby and football.

Among the most important pieces of sports equipment is your mouth guard. When you properly fit your mouth guard you can breathe and speak clearly with it in, and it’s much more effective at protecting you from serious mouth and jaw injuries. It also does a better job of keeping all your pearly whites it place.

In addition to your mouth guard, there are a few other things you can do to keep your teeth safe during sports:

  • Stretch before playing
  • Wear a helmet or other protective headgear as appropriate
  • Wear protective eyewear
  • Be alert, even as a spectator

Happy sporting!
